Why subscribe?

Do you love reading stories about real people in the context of their place and time in history? Or, maybe you just enjoy seeing how other people leverage all the hard-work that went into researching their ancestors. Either way, you’ll want to subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website and never miss an update.

The stories are that of men and women, immigrants and trailblazers, farmers and railroad workers. Seemingly mundane people making their way in the world, but each with a fascinating story.

Here’s how it will work

I will publish regularly — no more than 2x per week. Sometimes the stories are told serial style, told in multiple parts. Sometimes the stories are told in video format.

I also create and publish a podcast that discusses genealogy research challenges, successes and tips.

Feedback always welcome

The best part is that I’m truly interested in what you have to say. Are there tidbits I over-covered or under-covered? Could the story benefit from better pictures? Help me be better!

Stay up-to-date

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter and podcast goes directly to your inbox.

I hope you sign up and I hope you enjoy. I look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. If you’re curious how this all works, you can find out more about the company that provides the tech for this newsletter, visit Substack.com.
